Two charged in Hess Station robbery

On March 3, at 3:22 pm, the State Police at Highland, responded to the Hess Gas Station on St-299 in the Town of Lloyd for the report of a robbery at that location. Witnesses at the scene reported a male in his late 20s had entered the store and demanded cash from the cashier.

After stealing approximately $590.00 in cash, the man fled from the scene in a black vehicle. The investigation ultimately led to the arrest of two men for robbery in the third degree.

Arrested were Carlos J. Rondon, 22 of 1838 St 44/55, Modena, and Kyle F. Jesse, 21, of 1178 Milton Turnpike, Clintondale. Both men were arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.

The New York State Police were assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Town of Lloyd Police Department.
