Marlboro school board hires independent investigator

July 17th, 2013

The Marlboro school board this past week authorized the hiring of an independent investigator at a rate of $175 an hour to look into “a personnel personal issue.”

The short special meeting was attended by a quorum but was missing board members Bill Bell and Russell Conley. Those attending unanimously ratified the hiring of Joseph Wooley to conduct the investigation.

John Solis, a Marlboro resident and a member of Marlboro Community Concerns, asked the board to predict how long the investigation might last. The board responded by saying it might take “a few weeks,” but expressed optimism that it would not be a long process.
