Council to ask for outside prosecutor in fatal shooting by Newburgh police

YMCA offers to run city’s pool

In 2011, the City of Newburgh came precariously close to padlocking the Aquatic Center at Delano-Hitch Recreation Park. In the end, the cash-strapped City appealed to civic-minded citizens who donated a total of $28,000 and raised the total needed to open the pool for six weeks between the 4th of July and mid-August.
