Bushmen stun Newburgh 50-49

Pine Bush’s Justin Powell is quiet, so a big smile from him says a lot. And it was easy to imagine what he was feeling as he towered over Coach Steve Distefano Friday following a home victory over Newburgh Friday, Jan. 16.
Powell and the Bushmen took over the second half and beat the Goldbacks 50-49 to improve to 5-4 this season. Powell scored 33 points, including 14 points in the fourth quarter while both teams refused to give up as the game ended with a Goldback three-pointer at the buzzer. Read more…
