Vikings cruise past O’Neill

Less than 24 hours after surviving a grueling overtime league game against the Washingtonville Wizards, the Valley Central boys’ basketball team found itself in a track meet with the James I. O’Neill Raiders on Saturday afternoon.

By the third quarter, the Vikings were able to run away, outscoring the Raiders 24-8 in the period and cruising to an 87-55 win. Read more…

Highland wins four wrestling titles

Highland sent seven wrestlers into the Section Nine small school finals and won four titles, lost two very closely contested matches, and lost one other. Marlboro’s Isaac Mathews, wrestling for Highland, won the title for the 138 lb. weight class on a 4-2 decision over Kyle Torre of Red Hook. Read more…
